More than a movie!

UNCONDITIONAL is more than a movie, it’s a call to ACT!  Embrace Loudoun is partnering with UNCONDITIONAL and other ministries across the US serving at-risk children and youth in our communities. Please visit the Embrace Loudoun page on the UNCONDITIONAL website.

UNCONDITIONAL is a full-length feature film currently screening in theaters nationwide. The movie follows Sam, a white female whose husband is killed in a “bad” neighborhood. After years of seeking closure, the case is unsolved and Sam is defeated. On the third anniversary of her husband’s murder, Sam goes to the alley of his death, intent on ending her life as well. Before harming herself, Sam is stopped by two neighborhood children who need her immediate help. This providential event places Sam on a path of restoration. She continues to pursue closure, and the killer, but gradually finds new purpose when the children and the people of the community help heal her heart.

One of objectives for UNCONDITIONAL is to create a movie that could be used to bring greater awareness and support to ministries serving “at-risk” children and youth. From story concept to the final edit, the producers and director sought guidance from active urban ministries, and made an effort to portray under-resourced communities responsibly. After screening the movie for Christian Community Development Association leadership and over a hundred local urban ministries staff and volunteers, there has been great feedback and enthusiastic endorsements from those doing the work.
